For personal trainers in the UAE: take your coaching online

Your audience is already here

DataReportal counted 11.1 million internet users in the UAE at the start of 2025, 99.0% of the population, and 7.60 million Instagram users, equal to 67.8% of the population. The median age was 31.6.

For a trainer, that means the people who follow you for workouts, meals and motivation are reachable where you already post. What most trainers lack is not an audience but an offer those followers can afford every month, and a way to deliver it without selling more hours.

Dubai: a busy market with a wide spread of prices

Public participation in Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024 topped 2.73 million, according to the Government of Dubai Media Office. Published price guides show how wide the market is: one-to-one sessions from about AED 70 to above AED 700, and online coaching from AED 400 to 2,000 a month.

With that spread, a monthly subscription to your method can be priced well below a single premium session and still add up, while your one-to-one time stays the premium option you sell as paid bookings.

Abu Dhabi: more residents active than before

The fourth Abu Dhabi Sports and Physical Activity Survey, by the Department of Community Development and Abu Dhabi Sports Council, found 60.3% of residents meet WHO physical activity standards, up from 53.6%, from about 31,000 responses.

More active residents means more people who want guidance they can follow every day. A plan in your method, adapted as they log sessions, is that guidance at a monthly price, and you stay the person they can book when they want you in person.

Sharjah, Ajman and the northern emirates

Online coaching is not tied to where you train. Subscribers anywhere in the UAE follow the same dated plan, log their sessions and message you, and in-person bookings happen wherever you publish them. We have not found published local price data for the other emirates, so we do not quote any.

Working as a trainer in the UAE: check your licence

Requirements for personal trainers depend on how and where you work: in a gym, through your own company, in a free zone or on a freelance permit. Check the current rules with your licensing authority and your emirate’s sports authority before you sell coaching.
